At YOUmedia Springfield, we love giving students real-world opportunities to grow their skills—and one of our student workers took that challenge to heart this semester. As part of his job-share program, Robert Elliott created a series of interview-style videos that highlight the voices and experiences of students participating in our workshops.
Not only did this project help develop Robert’s skills in media production, communication, and storytelling, but it also gave our program a powerful new way to reflect the student experience. His work is a great example of what happens when students are trusted with meaningful, creative responsibility.
Armed with a camera, curiosity, and a creative eye, Robert planned, filmed, and edited interviews that captured the energy and impact of YOUmedia programming. From music production to digital art, his videos offer a behind-the-scenes look at what students are learning and why it matters.
