Dallas, TX: Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art’s Teen Advisory Council is a group of highly motivated high school students that help shape the direction of how the Museum engages with youth audiences. Council members collaborate with staff mentors to organize programs for teens and families, blending the humanities with STEM to encourage creative, innovative, and socially-conscious thinking in visitors they engage with. By spending extensive time in the galleries with staff members and learning from Visiting Artists, council members practice critical thinking, leadership, communication skills. The group is a direct manifestation of the teen voice in the Museum, and members serve as ambassadors of the DMA in their community.
